Can you sing?
The DWC is seeking new members now! If you can match pitch, blend with the voices around you and commit to one rehearsal a week, the DWC welcomes you! If you are interested in auditioning, send a note to dwcauditions@aol.com to get your audition appointment. Auditions are low stress and fun!
Auditions will be Sunday, February 10th, email dwcauditions@aol.com or call Nicole Tapp at 720-309-0473 to schedule an appointment time. Other audition dates are available by request.
Spring 2008 - Join the Denver Women's Chorus for wonderful music by and for women.
The first Spring Rehearsal will be Sunday, February 17th from 6:00-9:00 pm at Edgewater Community Church.
The DWC is a proud member of GALA Choruses (The Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) the world's only association committed to serving the GLBT choral movement. The Chorus has participated in GALA festivals in cities throughout the US and Canada. This event occurs every four years and brings GALA choruses from throughout the world together for a week of fantastic fun and music! The DWC would love to have you join us and add your voice to the singers representing Colorado at the next GALA festival which will be held in Florida in 2008.
The DWC is a wonderful and diverse group of women. Currently we consist of about 65 voices who range in age from 19 to over 70, representing a wide variety of musical abilities and backgrounds. While we are proud to be Denver's only lesbian-affiliated chorus, we are thrilled that well over a quarter of our members are straight allies. We seek a balance of music and fun, rehearsing on Sunday evenings and enjoying a weekend retreat each season in the Colorado mountains.
Not a singer? The DWC could not function without its support staff. If you are interested in supporting the arts and GLBT issues but can't carry a tune, consider becoming a support staff member. We have a variety of flexible volunteer options.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held every Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00.
Retreat
Each season also includes a weekend retreat which is usually held in Estes Park at the YMCA camp. This is an intensive weekend of music learning and of course, fun! Click here to check out pictures from previous retreats.
Travel
We occasionally do tours within the region or take trips to national conferences, though not every year. In the past, the Chorus has performed in Minneapolis, New York City, Tampa, Arizona, Seattle, and San Jose.
$$$$
We are funded by grants, donations and dues paid by members as well as proceeds from concerts. Dues for members range from $15 to $25 dollars per month. We encourage members to pay as much as they can, as dues cover the bare minimum of expenses (music, rehearsal hall rent, copying, etc.) We strive to make the chorus accessible to all women who wish to participate, and to that end offer scholarships to anyone unable to pay the full amount of dues.
Auditions
